What a week! We're hanging out with the Brewers, McCullars and Herrera's. Such fun to be with so many of our A-T family. Lots of children ranging in age from 2 - 18. We get to share Purim this week, but have to head back to reality next Monday (25th). Colder temps for sure :-( Can't encourage each of you enough to try to connect "face-to-face" with the amazing people of A-T. You certainly won't regret it!
@julie-brunner Been missing you, my friend. Can you join us on Cup of Joe in about 10 minutes? Would love to see you and chat a bit.

Just a quick update on our Kings & Prophets class. Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm CST. We've finally finished up 2 Samuel and will be starting in 1 Kings. Since we're working through this study chronologically, we'll be also looking at Chronicles along with Kings. Really an interesting study. I encourage anyone to join us on this Skype call on Tuesday evenings. Hope to see you there :-)
Okay, so my last post said I was feeling better. Not so much, as it turns out. Finally thought I was well enough to get some exercise today, so after prayers I headed out for what I hoped to be a 4 or 5 mile walk. At about the 2.5 mile mark I realized that my breathing wasn't doing so well and it was causing me to cough even more. The walk-in clinic happens to be on my way home, so I stopped in. Good think I did. They caught this still in the bronchitis stage. Not quite into pneumonia just yet. They gave me a nebulizer treatment, ordered antibiotics and sent me on my way. Still fighting the coughing, but this evening it seems to be subsiding some. Tomorrow can only be better, right?!?
I missed Kings and Prophets last week, so want to be well enough to join in on that tomorrow night for sure. Cup of Joe will take place as usual on Wednesday at 12:45pm CST. AND perhaps I'll feel well enough to study some Hebrew before my classes on Thursday.
Stay well everyone. Stay happy -- Hashem gave another day.

Later....
Tomorrow is Cup of Joe with Jo. I hope that many of the women of A-T can join us for this relaxing break from our hectic schedules to catch up of each other. We're still going to meet at 12:45pm CDT. There's no agenda. We just share from our hearts whatever we want to share. Please check it out!
I was curious about the earliest records of musical instruments. Went searching and found out about some flutes made from ivory tusks that were said to be 30,000+ years old. I guess what I had in mind was something similar to what I played (trumpet and French horn). In our Torah Portion this week, we read in B'Midbar 10: 1 that Hashem to Moshe to make two trumpets out of hammered silver. I can picture them in my mind. I think they would look like a French horn "unwound". A long slender tubing of silver that started very narrow and expanded in diameter the longer it got and ended in a flared rim. It's beautiful in my mind.
Just thought I'd share my mind-wanderings today. Have a great day!
