Chickens

The most common birds that farmers own are called chickens, but why are chickens so common on farms. The reason why would be, chickens are very easy to care for and easy to find at tractor supply and other such stores in your town or other nearby towns. The way you care for baby chickens is in the following order: 1. Have a cage cleaned and prepared, 2. Have a water dish and a food dish cleaned and prepared to use daily, 3. Also have a heat lamp with a working bulb and find a way to hang the lamp up over the cage, and then plug it in. When you want to pet your baby, chickens make sure you wash your hands before doing so. 

Because if you do not wash your hands than there is a chance the baby chickens can get sick. After about 30 days, or when the baby chickens are to almost too big to fit in their cage, put your baby chickens in a bigger cage along with a heat lamp, food dish, and water dish. When your baby chickens get to big for that cage, then they have moved on to the rank of chicken, when the chickens reach this stage they move to a chicken pen and coup fenced area with a chicken house, they no longer need their heat lamp, they need a bigger food dish, and a bigger water dish. The reason why you need a chicken house to go in your fenced area is so that the female chickens have a place to lay their eggs. If you want to hatch you eggs, what you need is an Incubator.
