Um... technical assistance needed. I'm the IT guy (in this house) and I don't know how to fix it. When I clicked on his link, which wasn't a pretty link to begin with, it didn't work. I get an access denied thing. So.... help please...

Oddly... when we shared the presentation, we copied a link for "share to all".

Ok, at the end he looked at the camera. :) A great first project to see.

Sumo, Samurai, Or Ninja - Which Would You Like To Be?

https://matcha-jp.com/en/4797

Wow. I had no idea each of these has a distinct history and career. Did I admit history is not my thing? I need to broaden my horizons in literature and movies too.... hint hint... this might make someone an interesting project or exploration point.

Oh, my dears... the assignments are simply to share something amazing. If there is Anime that I might actually allow my kids to watch... and gives a good introduction to another culture... share! oh my goodness share!

BTW... I liked Avatar a lot. Does that count?

I was thinking a different area of the globe each week - but if we would rather immerse ourselves in Japan for a mester... sounds great to me!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_Japan

Wikipedia isn't an academic resource, but it is a source for concepts for further study. Well, I just ran into more religions than I have ever heard of. Looks like most of them could be compared to ancient pagan religions... a spirit of everything, an idol for war, and fertility, and...type of thing. I need to find time to skim that article again; for now it's to late for concepts to stick.

Exploring Japan

2017 - 2018 School Year

Ahhh, we are not the only ones covered in snow. This pretty place is the Zen Buddhist  Golden Pavilion Temple (Kinkakuji) in the wintertime.

I don't know anything about Japan. I have heard of words like Geisha, tea, zen, ninja, and little green statues. In truth, there is a rich history and culture to explore. And here, in the A-Tec History Club, we are gathering sparks of curiosity.

Yardan's - my dear ninja turtles... find me something interesting to learn about. What question would you ask about Japan? If you were to visit Japan, where would you want to go? Why? Is there a food you would like to try? (Every culture has it's traditional foods) Is there something in history you are curious about?

A-Tec students - we would love to explore Japan with you. This could be great discussion for weekly club participation time or a hexamester project.

A-Tecia at large - we have some lovely members of A-Tec who are not a parent of a student but do enjoy history... you are welcome here too!

Let's see, sending invites... @william-gavriel-jordan @talia-bat-eliyanah-kailtyn @timothy-hadar-jordan @caleb-jordan @joel-brewer @jj-brewer @rivkah-holland @kimndan98 @talitha-holland @hannah-mccullar @aaron-martinez @rosemary @tim-herrera @bayli-brewer @clear-brewer @elisheva

Hebrew Grammar

Misc

I assumed Av was a masculine word. But when talking about our Fathers, the word becomes Avot, with a feminine ending. Is there a lesson here? or just a confused English speaker?
