My goodness! This cough just will not let go! I feel well enough to take a walk every morning. Baruch Hashem! The rest of the day I'm pretty worthless, however. Looking forward to a restful and inspiring Shabbat. Hope preparation day goes well for all of you. Don't forget Responsa with Rabbi tonight at 6:30 CDT. I think he's teaching something about Shavuot.
Its strange sitting here in SE TX watching the rain. I know all rain is a Blessing, but find it a bit different kind of Blessing here. In NM the rains mean less fire and more plants. It means the difference between buying food for our livestock or enough growth for them to graze. Yet here, the rain is in abundance. EVERYTHING is green, everything is moist (including our skin ;) ) Though we don't have livestock, I see other's feasting out in the fields. I guess my point is, no matter where you go, Blessings don't look the same. With each place there comes new (to you) Blessings.
There's my tidbit for the moment :)
Tomorrow is Cup of Joe with Jo. I hope that many of the women of A-T can join us for this relaxing break from our hectic schedules to catch up of each other. We're still going to meet at 12:45pm CDT. There's no agenda. We just share from our hearts whatever we want to share. Please check it out!
@bayli-brewer Hey there, Sweet Girl! Miss you bunches!!! Looking forward to seeing you on Cup of Joe on Wednesday.
@dr-kathleen-oden Hi, Kathleen! I've missed seeing you on prayers lately. Hope you're recovering well since your accident. I've been using some of the essential oils to help recover from bronchitis. They are helping, for sure.
@amy-mccullar Hi, Amy. Hope all is going well with your move to your new land. Looking forward to seeing your new digs and YOU the next time we're down your way.
@judy-Hi, Judy. Haven't seen you in ages. I think of you often and miss you. Hopefully we'll be able to connect soon.
@eliyanah-jordan-yarden Looking forward to Hebrew this Thursday. Don't know if I'll be ready, but just want to see you and the kids again.
Okay, so my last post said I was feeling better. Not so much, as it turns out. Finally thought I was well enough to get some exercise today, so after prayers I headed out for what I hoped to be a 4 or 5 mile walk. At about the 2.5 mile mark I realized that my breathing wasn't doing so well and it was causing me to cough even more. The walk-in clinic happens to be on my way home, so I stopped in. Good think I did. They caught this still in the bronchitis stage. Not quite into pneumonia just yet. They gave me a nebulizer treatment, ordered antibiotics and sent me on my way. Still fighting the coughing, but this evening it seems to be subsiding some. Tomorrow can only be better, right?!?
I missed Kings and Prophets last week, so want to be well enough to join in on that tomorrow night for sure. Cup of Joe will take place as usual on Wednesday at 12:45pm CST. AND perhaps I'll feel well enough to study some Hebrew before my classes on Thursday.
Stay well everyone. Stay happy -- Hashem gave another day.

Later....
Well, I haven't coughed up a lung yet, but it's not for the lack of trying. I don't think I've had a respiratory infection as bad as this in nearly 30 years! I'm on the mend now, but it really stopped me in my track this week! Hope all of you are doing well and looking forward to an amazing week. We will finally see a few breaks from rain, so outside will be my walking venue for this week.
Also...today marked the last day of this year's teaching requirements. Had our final piano recital this afternoon. We're looking forward to a break, a chance to go see our daughter's family in Colorado and perhaps get back to Texas to see Clear, Bayli and family soon, too.
Perhaps in a day or two I'll have something more worthwhile to share. Wishing you all a Shavua Tov!
