In a vision, I saw Y'shua walking on a beach and I ran to him. I looked around at the beautiful scenery and thought, "I have found peace". I felt the warm sun and cool breeze and thought, "I have found joy". Then I contemplated about how special it was to walk on the same sand as the Messiah and I thought, "now the truth has set me free".
As we walked for a time, I noticed that the footprints of the Messiah made a straight path; while mine zigged, zagged and even made circles. Many times I found myself running to catch up. My new freedom became exhausting, and my thoughts of joy and peace began to fade. All the while, the Messiah remained calm and focused, in His consistent pace.
At one point, when I was quite far away, Y'shua called to me and asked, "Do you love me?" I ran to him and said, "You know that I do." For the first time, I noticed that Y'shua's every step was full of peace and the closer I was to Him the more peaceful I felt. Yet, there were two sets of prints in the sand.
The Messiah looked at me and asked me, "Do you love me?" I moved even closer and said, "Master, you know that I do." With His approving smile, true joy filled my soul, but there were still two sets of footprints in the sand.
Without stopping, He asked again, "Do you love me?" I said, "Yes! Yes, I do love you."
"Then follow me." He said. Now I understood and the beautiful scenery became a mere backdrop. The warm sun and cool breeze faded from my thoughts, as I began to focus on where the Messiah was going. I realized that I was set free, so that I could place my feet in His footsteps; and at last, there was only one set of footprints in the sand.
