Psalms 41:1-3
For the leader of the singers;
A song of David
Happy is he who cares for the poor and sick. On the day of evil G-d will rescue him. G-d will guard him and give him life. Throughout the world he will be considered happy. You will not subject him to the desires of his enemies.
The blessed Sages of Israel taught:

“Do not speak to your fellow man about a blemish as long as you yourself are afflicted with a similar blemish.” ~ Baba Metzia 59

My Rebbe drawing from the same Fountain of Wisdom taught thus:

“Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.” ~ Matthew 7:3-5

From the "Ushpizin" script:

The Rabbi: "Look what our teachers wrote here, a marvelous thing: When a man passes a test, he progresses. Right? He thinks that he earned some rest. It’s then that he’s given an even harder test. No ‘rest.’ No rest in this world. Above all Moshe, don’t get angry. G-d Almighty, save us from anger."

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but HaShem delivers him from them all”
