Back to Tractor Supply. Well, we buy feed a couple times a month so, this is a regular occurrence. Trouble every time too! We tried getting another Kiwi tree, or two - but the plants left on the shelves are already sickly. I'm so glad we grabbed the ones we did a couple few weeks ago. This trip, my dear Shmuel bought me a greenhouse for my back porch.

Isn't it pretty? Just a little one actually. I'd like another, but this one is a good start. So, all those pots in my kitchen have been moved out here. Inside the house, I now have room to start seeds. We have one of those chicken warming light things hung from the ceiling, to keep the plants from getting too cold on nights that are still freezing. But, out here, they are receiving decent light and a good breeze.

Plants don't really do well on a sunny window sill. Window glass actually blocks too much sunlight. A local nursery guy described it as putting dark sunglasses over the plants. Inside the house is often too warm, causing the plants to grow too fast and gangling. And, I have already been struggling with root rot and stem rot. Over watering will cause this, as well as still air. If you do have "outside" plants inside, keep a fan on them to give them a good enough breeze to get their leaves wiggling. I can't remember the exact science to explain why, but every so often you should give your seedlings a good shake too. It will cause the plants to grow stronger, healthier stems.

We checked over the Chick Days bins too. The first batch were much better than the goofy ones there now. Here are my preteens:

We are finally getting rain without snow! I can't wait for this weekend - Pesach! And I can't wait for next week! I'm hoping spring break will have lovely weather for cleaning the yard and prepping beds. We still have some bushes to move, but last week was bitterly cold!
